Light Dreams in Bilgola was captured in February 2016 close to Cade’s home in Bilgola on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Bilgola is derived from its Aboriginal term belgoula meaning swirling waters. In this series, Cade focuses on Bilgola’s swirling sea of natural light and colour, immersing us in its mystery, beauty and explosive sensitivity.
Through Cade’s subliminal, transient and dreamy exposures, we experience the beauty and greatness of nature’s liquid paths. The impressionistic light reflected in each artwork reveals a considered observation of a glow or the movement of time and it allows the immersive experience to take hold.
